I had a very disappointing experience renting the catamaran Escapade from Poseidon Sails. Initially, the owner, Yiannis Kantzis, pressured me to book the catamaran quickly, claiming he had other clien Comment 19.12.2024 09:28 Dear, You never mentioned that you ABANDONED the catamaran in the Poros channel. When another vessel attempted to leave Poros, it collided with the entire starboard side of the catamaran. Of course, you were not on board to protect the boat, as any professional skipper would have been. There is no question that the anchor was damaged, and the hull sustained a hole from the other boat’s anchor. People like you cannot be considered skippers. A true professional would never abandon a vessel under any circumstances. Your actions are not only reckless but show a complete disregard for the boats and the companies you represent. As a company that owns eight yachts, we strongly advise other companies to be cautious about trusting you with their vessels. Additionally, your claim of recording or filming any conversation involving our company’s representatives without consent is a serious violation and could lead to LEGAL ACTION.

Yacht Escapade (2018) / August 17–24, 2024 We encountered two major issues with this charter: Fuel and Water Gauges Malfunctioning Both the fuel and water gauges were not functioning. Additionally, it is important to note that a professional skipper should not depart before the conclusion of the charter, as you did. We searched for you extensively, but you had already left the marina, leaving us no choice but to complete the check-out procedure in your absence. Regarding the invoice for the damages, please be informed that it was sent to you on August 28, four days after the conclusion of your charter. I kindly suggest that you review your emails before making any further accusations. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

Feedback I got from the client: "The charter was great but check-out was complicated because of the manager's trickery. He invented 2 damages that we did not cause and luckily a photo taken by my w Comment 07.08.2024 12:31 Dear Felipe, Unfortunately, this is not the truth. Your client damaged the bimini of the catamaran because he left the boom lowered and dragged on the bimini. Of course, he didn't want to pay anything like every client who thinks he can damage the boats (our property) and go like nothing has happened. We strongly advise you to inform your clients that when they charter a boat to be extremely careful and responsible because they are liable for it until the day and time of the check-out. In bareboat charters the skipper has a duty, to keep the boat and the crew safe. If he is not up to this challenge we suggest hiring a professional skipper. P.S. The actual damage cost us 300.00 EUR
